The smallest of the four woodpeckers. As the oldest of several siblings, Soeddak moved out and became independent as soon as they reached adulthood. Because of their small size and beak, building a home of their own hasn’t been easy, so they have supported themselves by working part-time cleaning jobs. Recently, they have also started finishing interiors and doing move-in cleaning for tree homes newly built by Kkamak. Hardworking, resilient, and resourceful, Soeddak takes a practical approach to problems and always finds a way to make things work.

A trend-savvy woodpecker with a talent for singing and dancing. The middle of three siblings, Oddak is outgoing, sociable, and loves looking out for friends and neighbors. Naturally curious about what everyone is up to, they can’t help getting involved in whatever is happening around them. With a knack for bringing energy wherever they go, Oddak dreams of becoming a famous star someday. Currently the youngest member of the performance team at the Starlight Forest Park Office, they are gaining experience on stage and hope to make woodpeckers famous through their signature “Woodpecking Show.”

An only child who grew up with every material comfort, Cheongddak still feels an inner emptiness from always living up to their parents’ expectations. Influenced by their self-made father, who achieved success early in life by building countless homes, Cheongddak received extensive private education and graduated from a foreign language school. After graduation, with no clear direction in life, their father set up a Korean language school for them, where Cheongddak teaches Korean to young migratory birds from colder countries during the winter. Now, Cheongddak is searching for a life they truly want—one shaped by their own choices rather than their parents’ plans.

Having lost their parents at a young age, Kkamakddak was rescued by a Buddhist monk and raised at a temple before eventually moving to Starlight Forest. Quiet and thoughtful, they rarely show their emotions and enjoy spending time alone reading or making things. Kkamakddak started building homes at an early age and became independent before their peers. Now, they work building homes by day while continuing their studies at night in the Department of Nest Architecture at Bird Open University.
